Somatic Breathwork

  • A practice of freeing your thinking mind and returning to your feeling body. Active, circular breathing techniques help access higher levels of consciousness to clear stagnant energy, release maladaptive behavior patterns, and process suppressed emotion. Through this practice of emotional and nervous system regulation, participants access greater clarity, states of joy, peace, abundance, and reconnection to purpose.

  • For shorter sessions (15 mins or less), chairs for participants to sit in.

    For longer durations (20-90 mins), enough room for participants to lay down on the floor. Towels or yoga mats recommended for optimal comfort.

    Optional props include blankets, pillows/bolsters, eye masks that can be facility or guest-provided.

Guided Ice Baths

  • Ice baths (aka cold-plunging) not only offers a wealth of health benefits, but acts as a great way to help train your nervous system to regulate under stress. By using the breath as an anchor and through somatic cues, we rewire neural pathways to practice conscious awareness to override auto-pilot fight/flight reactions, discerning between what feels uncomfortable versus what is unsafe, helping to build resilience to stress.

  • Access to cold water, either in the form of a nearby natural cold water source (eg. river, ocean, cold pool) or a water hose, electric hookup, and ease of drainage to be able to setup portable cold tubs.

Sauna Aufguss

  • A multi-sensory experience of sound, heat, aromas, and sensation. Aufguss translates to “infusion” and is a style of sauna ritual that incorporates essential oils, and functional towel-waving techniques to move the hot air, humidity, and aromas throughout the space.

    Breathwork, mindfulness techniques, and light movement can also be incorporated to enhance the journey of inner transformation.

  • Access to a traditional sauna where water can be poured over sauna stove to create steam.

    Preferably, sauna should have enough space for the guide to move within the hot room.
